We've called Southwest Florida home for 20 years and have been in the sod business for nearly 10, supplying beautiful lawns all around the area for homeowners, builders, and landscapers.

$50 per pallet
For new construction, bare soil, or yards where you've already removed the old grass and prepped the ground yourself to save money. Add installation when you order and we'll deliver, lay, and roll your sod in one trip.

Replacing an existing lawn

Pickup & delivery
Simple, flat-rate delivery
No pallet minimum for pickup or delivery. Smaller orders cost a bit more per pallet once delivery is added, so bigger orders get the best value.

At 1008 Robert Ave, Lehigh Acres, Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 6:30 PM. Our forklift loads trailers and flatbed or utility-bed trucks. Standard pickup truck beds will need to be loaded by hand. Order before noon for 8 AM pickup the next day, or after noon for 2 PM.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a pallet cover?
About 400 square feet. Our order page has a yard calculator, or text us your address and we'll measure it for free.
When will my delivery arrive?
You pick the date, Monday through Saturday, as soon as the next day. Our trucks head out as soon as the farm finishes cutting your sod, so we aren't able to give an exact time in advance. We'll text you on delivery day with your arrival window.
What happens if it rains?
Heavy rain can flood the sod farm, and wet fields can't be harvested. If that happens, we'll text you the next available day, which is usually the next day if it doesn't rain again. Just reply YES if it works, or text us a date that's better for you. Rain delays never cost anything extra.
How soon do I need to lay the sod?
Within 24 hours of delivery, and the sooner the better. Sod is a living plant, and it stays healthiest when it goes down and gets watered quickly.
How do I take care of new sod?
Keep it watered every day for the first two weeks, then water less often but deeper. Our new sod care guide walks you through watering, mowing, and fertilizing.
Do I need to be home for delivery?
No. If you want your sod placed in a specific spot, leave instructions in the delivery notes when you place your order on our order page. If our equipment can't fit in that area, we'll contact you to find another spot.
Where and when can I pick up?
At 1008 Robert Ave, Lehigh Acres, Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 6:30 PM. We're closed Sundays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. Order before noon and it's ready by 8 AM the next day. Order after noon and it's ready by 2 PM the next day.
Can you load the sod into my pickup truck?
Our forklift can load trailers and trucks with a flatbed or utility bed. To avoid damaging your vehicle, we don't use the forklift on standard pickup truck beds, so sod going into a regular pickup will need to be loaded by hand.
Is there a minimum order?
No. You can order a single pallet for pickup or delivery. Delivery is free on 10 or more pallets.
Do you deliver outside Lee, Charlotte, and Collier counties?
For larger orders, yes. Call or text 239-284-5764 and we'll work it out.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes. Just call or text 239-284-5764 at least 24 hours before your delivery or pickup day. Because sod is cut fresh for each order, same-day and next-day orders aren't eligible for a refund. You'll find the details in our policies below.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. The Sod Company is licensed and insured.
Policies
Refunds, delivery & sod care
Sod is a living plant, so a few simple policies help every order go smoothly. They apply to all orders, including orders with installation.
Cancellations & refunds
- Need to cancel? Call or text 239-284-5764 at least 24 hours before your delivery or pickup day, and we'll refund your order.
- Because your sod is cut fresh at the farm for your order, same-day and next-day orders aren't eligible for a refund.
- Once sod has been delivered or picked up, it can't be returned or refunded, since it's a living plant that needs to be laid and watered right away.
Delivery
- We photograph each delivery (except Bahia) so there's a record of your sod's quality when it arrives.
- You don't need to be home for delivery. To have your sod placed in a specific spot, leave instructions on the order page when you order.
- If our trucks or forklift can't safely reach the spot you asked for, we'll reach out to find another place that works for you.
Weather delays
- Heavy rain can flood the sod farm, and wet fields can't be harvested.
- If that happens, we'll text you right away with the next available day, usually the next day as long as it doesn't rain again. Reply YES if it works, or text us a date that's better for you.
- Rain delays never cost anything extra.
- Because the weather is outside everyone's control, rain delays aren't eligible for a refund. If a rain delay causes a problem for you, please call us at 239-284-5764 and we'll talk through your options.
Pickup & loading
- Pickup is at 1008 Robert Ave, Lehigh Acres, Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 6:30 PM.
- To protect your vehicle, our forklift only loads trailers and trucks with a flatbed or utility bed.
- A standard pickup truck bed can be damaged by forklift loading, so sod going into one will need to be loaded by hand.
Laying & care
- For the best results, lay your sod within 24 hours of delivery or pickup. The sooner, the better.
- New sod needs regular watering and care to take root and grow.
Text messages & privacy
- When you order, we text the phone number you give us about that order only: a confirmation with your receipt, a reminder on delivery day, and a message when our truck leaves the farm.
- Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts or HELP for help.
- We don't sell or share your phone number or other information with anyone for marketing.
After delivery
- Once your sod is delivered, its health depends on how it's laid, watered, and cared for, which is outside our control. For that reason, we can't guarantee sod after delivery.
- We're always happy to answer questions about getting your new lawn established. Just call or text.
